Presentation

Today's society relies heavily on information technology and communication (ICT). Their correct operation and good performance benefits multiple scopes of human relations such as economic, social, cultural, health, industrial, etc. Distributed systems, wireless and embedded form an essential part of ICT. Currently almost any information system consists of computers interconnected by communication networks. Such systems are called Distributed System. Current _ future trends of distributed systems is to ubiquity. That is, the computers are installed (and embedded) anywhere in human life (home, transportation, work, city, hospital, shop, etc). These computers provide ubiquitous services accessible at all times usually through wireless networks. People can access them through different devices (smartphones, smartcards, tablets, etc). Students taking this degree will acquire knowledge and_ skills that will successfully address multidisciplinary projects in diverse areas of computer engineering. Typical projects are:

* Home Automation.

* Cloud services.

* Network security services.

* Smartgrids.

* Smartcitys.

* Developing applications for personal access devices.

* robotics

Typical skills that students will acquire are:

* Programming smartphones

* Managing security of wired and wireless networks.

* Design and development of fault-tolerant distributed systems.

* Programming of control systems and real-time.

Most graduates of this master shall be a professional capacity both to lead and to be part of teams that design, develop, validate and / or audited distributed and embedded software systems.
